Book Rental Service

Classic Pages offers three rental plans to suit different reading habits:

Regular Plan

• Rental Fee: ₹50 or 10% of the book's price, whichever is higher
• Refundable Deposit: Equivalent to the book's price
• Flexible time duration
• Available in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Kochi, and other select cities
• Minimum 1 month, Maximum 4 months (Pickup request cannot be raised before 1 month)

Bibliophile Bundle

• Rental Fee: ₹999
• Refundable Deposit: ₹1000
• Number of Books: 24
• Duration: 18 months
• You can borrow books with a total value of up to ₹1000 at a time
• If the total value exceeds ₹1000, an additional refundable security deposit will be required

Patron Plan

• Zero Rental Fee
• Unlimited Books
• Starting investment: ₹25,000
• Books worth up to ₹5,000 can be borrowed at a time
• Suitable for investors, voracious readers, and corporate clients

We can provide any popular book available in the market, with the following considerations:

• Books by new authors may not be available for rent at the moment
• Regional language books are available
• You can add books to your 'to-be-read' list under your profile in advance
• You can request books that are not currently available on our app, and we will notify you when they become available

Regular Plan: Available in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Kochi, and other select cities. If you're from one of these cities, please connect with our support team for instant activation.

Package Plans (Bibliophile Bundle & Patron Plan): Available throughout India.

We offer home delivery and pickup for all rental plans with no hidden costs.

Security deposits vary by plan:

• Regular Plan: Equivalent to the book's price
• Bibliophile Bundle: ₹1000 (additional deposit required if total book value exceeds ₹1000)
• Patron Plan: Included in the initial investment

Security deposits will be:

• Collected at the time of checkout
• Refunded in full within 7 business days after the book is returned in acceptable condition
• Partially or fully forfeited if the book is returned damaged, as determined by our condition assessment

All rental books are inspected before delivery to ensure they are in good condition. Minor wear such as light highlighting, small creases, or minor edge wear may be present in some books.

Acceptable Wear: Normal reading wear is expected and will not result in additional charges. This includes:

• Minor page creases from normal reading
• Slight spine creasing from opening the book
• Minor edge wear

Unacceptable Damage: The following types of damage will result in partial or complete forfeiture of the security deposit:

• Water damage or stains
• Torn or missing pages
• Excessive writing, highlighting, or underlining
• Broken spines or detached covers
• Food stains or other substances on pages
• Any damage that makes the book unusable for future rentals

If you receive a book that is already damaged, please notify us within 48 hours of receipt with photos of the damage to avoid being charged.

Delivery:

• Books will be delivered within 2-3 business days after order confirmation
• We offer home delivery for all rental plans with no hidden costs
• Delivery to certain remote areas may take 1-2 additional days

Returns:

• Free pickup service is available for all rental returns
• For the Regular Plan, returns cannot be requested before 1 month
• Returns must be scheduled through our mobile app or customer service
• Books must be properly packaged to prevent damage during transit
• You are responsible for the book until it is received by our return processing center

Our replacement policy allows you to request a replacement for any damaged, defective, or incorrect item within 24 hours of delivery.

To request a replacement:

• Contact our support team within 24 hours of delivery
• Provide necessary details about the issue
• Include photos of the damaged or defective item if possible

If a book is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair during the rental period, you will be charged the replacement cost of the book.

Payment Methods:

• Online Payment: Credit/debit cards, UPI, net banking
• Wallet Balance: Use your Classic Pages wallet balance

Cancellation Policy:

• Orders can be cancelled free of charge before the book is delivered
• After delivery, returns are subject to the return policy and no refund of the rental fee will be provided

All payments are processed securely through our payment gateway. Your payment information is not stored on our servers.

Classic Pages is not responsible for:

• Personal items left in returned books
• Allergic reactions or health issues related to previous handling of the books
• Accuracy or content of the information contained in rented materials
• Delays in delivery or return pickup due to circumstances beyond our control (weather, natural disasters, etc.)

By renting books from Classic Pages, you agree not to:

• Reproduce, scan, or copy any portion of the rented materials
• Remove or alter any copyright notices or proprietary labels
• Sublease or transfer the rental to another person

Classic Pages reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who repeatedly violates these terms or returns books in severely damaged condition.

Classic Pages reserves the right to modify these rental terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically. Your continued use of our rental service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
